Zaiver Sinnett

THEY SUFFERED, BEAUTIFULLY

Set in the 1960s, three men struggle with their sexual identity while balancing work, family, and most importantly: each other.

Zaiver Sinnett (he/him) is a Black LGBTQ writer from West Virginia and a graduate of USC’s School of Cinematic Arts' MFA program in Writing for Screen & Television. He is currently an Executive Story Editor on STATION 19 on ABC. Previous to that, he was an Executive Producers' Assistant on GREY'S ANATOMY. While working for Grey’s, he started his recurring role on the show as DOCTOR ZANDER PEREZ. Zaiver's original TV pilots have been recognized by Austin Film Festival and he's been a Semi-Finalist and Finalist for NBC's Writers on the Verge and CBS' Diversity Writers Mentoring Program, respectively. In 2020, he was a fellow for the Walt Disney Television Writing Program.

While some were raised by wolves, Zaiver was raised by women: fiercely protective, loyal, and badass. He writes about queens: women and femmes who forge their own Queendoms in order to cope with their broken families.
