Shantira Jackson (she/her) is an Emmy, WGA and Humanitas Prize nominee. Born and raised in Tallahassee, FL she later moved to Chicago to train at The Second City where she became a resident ensemble member of the esteemed Second City Main Stage. She is currently based in Los Angeles and her credits include Netflix's BIG MOUTH, CBS's AFTER MIDNIGHT, Amazon's CLEAN SLATE and Peacock's THE AMBER RUFFIN SHOW and the SAVED BY THE BELL reboot. As a performer, Shantira can be heard as a regular panelist on NPR’s hit show Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!. Other credits include the movie BARB AND STAR GO TO VISTA DEL MAR, and HBO’s CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM.
