Alice Stanley Jr. (she/her) writes dark bubblegum for stage and screen. She is currently a writer/producer for Amy Poehler's satirical podcast series SAY MORE (NYT "Best Podcasts of 2023" pick) and has a feature in development with Katie Krentz's 219 Productions. Last fall her play THE SECOND BEST SCHOOL SHOOTING had a sell-out workshop run at The Elysian, EP'd by Adam McKay, with community partnership from March For Our Lives. Most recently, Alice's indie mystery novella GAY LORE came out in May 2024. Previous writing credits include MOXIE (dir. Amy Poehler), BUSY TONIGHT (EP Tina Fey), THE 2020 GLAAD AWARDS, and 19 BARBIE animated series (Mattel). Her eco-terroism musical MEAT CUTE was a finalist for NBC Universal's 2022 Climate Summit, and her play HELLO, STACEY was a finalist for the 2023 Relentless Award. A forever South Sider, Alice is a proud former Chicago Public Schools teacher and a slightly less-proud former Chicago improviser.
