Michael Iannaconi (he/him) is an LGBTQ+ writer currently working as the writers' assistant to Greg Berlanti on his series HOW TO SURVIVE WITHOUT ME for HBO Max. Most recently, Michael was the showrunners' assistant to Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg on the live-action SCOOBY-DOO series for Berlanti and Netflix. Prior to that, Michael won Best Scripted Digital Series at the Austin Film Festival for a script he co-wrote with Sarah Moen entitled UR KILLING ME. In the same festival, his own script I'M DONE WITH MEN! also placed as a semi-finalist, and he was one of 24 finalists out of 200 participants in the festival's 90 Second Pitch Festival. Prior to this, Michael worked at Berlanti Productions for two years in the TV department for Nikki Cooper and Jonathan Gabay. A graduate of Northwestern University’s Radio/TV/Film and Creative Writing programs, Michael is both a comedy and drama writer interested in telling off-color, frank stories about complicated, funny characters.
