Liz Lorie

Liz Lorie (she/her) is a screenwriter and producer from Toronto, Canada. Her screenplays have been finalists in several screenwriting competitions most notably including the Academy’s Nicholl Fellowship. She is currently in post-production on an independent feature film, A MOSQUITO IN THE EAR, starring Jake Lacey and Nazanin Boniadi, which she is associate producing and served as the script editor for. Liz moved to LA to pursue her MFA at USC’s Peter Stark Producing program after completing her first master’s degree in English literature at McGill University. Over the course of her career, Liz has worked at Anonymous Content, Amazon Studios, Pretty Pictures, and Artists First where she worked with a manager and producer during production of AWKWAFINA IS NORA FROM QUEENS season 3, and the Critics Choice Award winning film, QUIZ LADY, starring Awkwafina, Sandra Oh, and Will Ferrell. Liz is currently a BAFTA Connect member having been initially accepted into the BAFTA Newcomer program as a writer in 2023.
